European Commission
I work for an agency providing editorial support to the European Commission, writing, editing and proof reading a range of content. This has included everything from quarterly reports on living and working conditions, to lightweight promotional articles.
My favourite, though, are the “Success Stories”. Over the last five years, I’ve written hundreds of these case studies, which show the impact of social projects funded by the EU. The most recent of these were for the European Social Fund (ESF+).

Gateway Family Services
Gateway Family Services delivers health and wellbeing services across the West Midlands. I've been working with them for around a decade, including a short stint as in-house Marketing and Communications Officer.
I'm primarily a copy writer, but I enjoy design and layout too - so, as well as providing editorial and comms support to all areas of the organisation, I create graphics and printed literature for all Gateway's services according to their brand guidelines. These include leaflets, case studies, posters and banners.

Edgbaston Neighbourhood Network Scheme
The Edgbaston Neighbourhood Network Scheme (NNS) was launched in 2019. I designed the brand, including logos, colour scheme and tone of voice. Over the next three years I worked with the team to produce welcome packs, leaflets, posters, emails and newsletters.
ENNS’s Lead says, "People comment that what we send out is pleasing to look at, but also that it is easy to read. Emma always thinks about how information will come across and is very conscious of creating documents that are accessible and make you want to read them."

Harley Street Care
Since 2018 I have researched and written blog posts for Harley Street Care, a domiciliary care agency.
HSC’s Head of Operations says: “We use regular blogs to inform and engage with our existing client base and prospective customers.
“Emma is just as happy to work to a brief or suggest suitable topics and angles herself, based on her knowledge of our business and practices. We like the fact that she has taken time to understand our organisation and values and then reflect this in the pieces she produces.“

Pat Benson Boxing Academy
When Pat Benson Boxing Academy evolved from historic boxing gym into community sports foundation, they commissioned me to help. As well as working with them to ensure the tone of voice aligned with their updated image, I collated and edited old content, created new content, and uploaded everything onto the new website.
CEO Paddy Benson said, “Thanks for your hard work in editing the content. We would highly recommend Emma if anyone needs written content edited and prepared for a professional finish.”
